Summer, summer time [look back, catch up]

Right now, I’m enjoying time at the Rome Home with Kaija. She’ll be here for a couple more days.

It’s been downpour raining the last couple of days, ending this morning with a dense morning fog falling over everything. Finally, the sun started peaking out from behind the clouds for a glimpse of the golden hour glow.

Courtney drove up to Ohio today to pick Chayton and Nazeriah up from Camp Kern. Chayton just finished his three weeks there as a CIT.

Nazeriah is getting a little break from her summer job as a camp counselor. She gets to sleep two nights in a comfy hotel bed with air conditioning and access to good food, plus Courtney will help her do her laundry.

On Sunday, Courtney will drop Nazeriah back off at camp, then he and Chayton will begin the drive back to the Rome Home.
